JenniferStephanie Italia Ricci, born October 29, 1986, is a American-Canadian actor. She is known for her role as April Carver in the 2014-2015 ABC Family television show Chasing Life, and for playing White House Chief of Staff and Special Advisor Emily Rhodes in the television drama series Designated Survivor from 2016 to 2019.During 2009, Ricci began appearing in American productions in small roles in How I Met Your Mother, House, and Greek. The same year, Ricci had a regular role in the show in the role of Sasha in Secret Girlfriend on Comedy Central. She starred as Maggie Winnock in Unnatural History as a Cartoon Network live-action series. She was also in an Clean & Clear commercial. She appeared in Valediction which was a short film she produced in the year 2011. Ricci had a minor role in the film as Don Jon, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's directorial debut movie.
